Block Street Sunday

Every year, there’s a block party on Block Street, which is one of the main streets that forms the square in Fayetteville, Arkansas.  Local vendors, shops, and restaurants all line the streets, and it gives everyone something fun and exciting to do on a Sunday afternoon.  Whether it’s people-watching, dog-watching, eating your weight in BBQ and cookie dough (it was there, trust me), there’s a little something for everyone.

This year, I decided to take my camera and snap a few shots of everyone having a great time.  The absolute first thing I noticed were all the brightly colored flowers, followed closely, of course, by the guy begging passers-by to buy a ticket and try to dunk him in the dunk tank.  Soon after, I was met by the smells of two food trucks just across the street from each other.

Oh, and so many dogs!! And kids!! And kids playing in bubbles!

If you ever get a chance to experience it yourself, I encourage you to stop by one year.  If not, here are some pictures that (I hope) capture the atmosphere pretty well.

Enjoy!
